Didcot Town Ladies Player of the Match
Lexi Terry
Lexi scored her first goal for the side this afternoon in just her third appearance, in an outstanding all-round performance.
Didcot Town Ladies continued their great start to the season with a 4-2 win against North Leigh.
Coming into the game on the back of five wins and a draw in the league, the ladies possessed the confidence you would expect from a team in great form. Playing some exceptional football, the ladies raced into a 3-0 lead inside 30 minutes with goals from Holly Ward, Bea Pratley, and Lexi Terry, who scored her first for the side in a player of the match performance.
North Leigh fought back and scored either side of half-time to cut the deficit to one goal.
Bea Pratley calmed any nerves though as she burst through the North Leigh defence to earn the side a penalty and captain Maddie Sheppard stepped up to clinch the victory.
The ladies have now scored 49 goals in their opening 8 games in all competitions.
Liv Lee was the Didcot Town Ladies Development Player of the Match today for her performance against Aylesbury United.
If you are going to score your first goal for the team, pop one in from 20-yards!
Congratulations to Chloe Wilkins who got her name on the score sheet for the Ladies Development side today with a direct fee-kick.
Didcot Town Ladies Development suffered penalty heartache in the cup today.
Normal time was a tale of two long-distance strikes.
After a goalless first half, Aylesbury went ahead thanks to a strike from 30 yards.
Didcot levelled when Chloe Wilkins scored her first for the club with a direct free-kick (video to follow).
Despite looking the most likely to win in normal time, the game eventually went to penalties, where Aylesbury progressed with a 4-2 victory.
We've had another very busy month for our six teams at the club, in which 28 games were played, including 9 for the first team.
There's no sign of the games slowing down as we look forward to 26 games across our 6 teams in November.
We will keep you up to date with the fixtures throughout the month, including any changes.

The Goals: Royston Town vs Didcot Town
For those of our supporters lucky enough to own infrared glasses, here are the goals from yesterday's Southern League defeat at Royston.
Didcot Town manager Jamie Heapy gave an honest appraisal of his side's performance in the 2-1 defeat at Royston Town on Saturday.
The Railwaymen trailed at the break, but they looked like they were going to come away with something from the game when leading goalscorer Owen James equalised with 15 minutes remaining. Royston regrouped to score a late winner, and Jamie admitted they must do better with their consistency.
"A really disappointing afternoon!
"We weren’t good enough in the first half and gave ourselves too much to do. The triple substitution helped to change the game, brought more energy into our play, and gave us a lift.
"We had a good 20-minute spell in the second half, got our goal, and looked like we could come away with something, but ultimately it wasn’t enough.
"We have to be better when we come to places like this. We weren’t at the level required, and we have to be honest about that.
"We know what this group is capable of, but we have to show it consistently, compete from the first whistle, and make sure our standards don’t drop.
"We’ll regroup and get back to work to put things right against Hadley next week."
The Railwaymen can now enjoy the rarity of a midweek with no fixture and prepare for the visit of Hadley to the Loop next weekend.
Didcot Town Ladies face North Leigh this afternoon at Steventon Sports and Social Club.

Didcot Town went down to a 2-1 defeat away at a foggy Royston Town this afternoon.
Adam Murray gave the hosts a first-half lead. Owen James looked to have earned a Didcot point with 16 minutes remaining with his 18th goal of the season, but Dylan Williams's effort from the edge of the area with ten minutes remaining won it for the hosts.
Royston started brightly, and Kian Harness forced Leigh Bedwell into an early save.
Moments later, Connor Barrett dragged his volley wide from the edge of the area.
Royston went ahead on 21 minutes. A deep cross from Andronicos Georgio found Murray at the far post, and his powerful header beat Bedwell.
The fog by now had engulfed Garden Walk, and whilst Royston were enjoying most of the attacking, it was difficult to see who was doing what in their final third.
The second half continued in much the same way until Didcot made a triple substitution just past the hour mark.
The substitutions worked, and James fired just over from a Felix Robertson cross.
The reprieve was short-lived for the hosts. Another ball into the area was guided in by James.
Many would have hoped Didcot would continue their pressure, but the hosts regrouped, and only a superb block from Luke Carnell denied Harness from restoring Royston's lead.
Williams scored what proved to be the winner with ten minutes remaining when he was found unmarked on the edge of the area, and his deflected effort gave Bedwell no chance.
Didcot had no answer as they slipped to defeat and dropped to third in the table.
