You know one thing I love about scambaiting? It is the real life applications that it also mirrors. Scammers say we are hating on their "work" BUT what we're doing is EXPOSING them. The truth is incontrovertible. I believe that's the difference between a "hater" and an "exposer."

I urgently need help from a REAL HUMAN. My YouTube channel has been repeatedly targeted with reports, and your automated enforcement systems are failing me.
I am an investigative journalist who EXPOSES scams, not someone who promotes them. Yet I am now being accused of being a scammer myself. This situation is causing enormous stress and threatening my livelihood.
I have already submitted an appeal, but I am deeply concerned that my explanation has not received a proper human review.
The image you referred to was published in a blog on my personal website, NOT in a YouTube video. It documents messages containing apparent extortion attempts and threats. Although I cannot prove that the individual involved is responsible for the reports against my channel, the videos being targeted are the same ones that person previously demanded I remove.
I have published over 3,000 videos exposing fraud. For the past two and a half months, I have sent multiple emails raising concerns about what appears to be a coordinated attack against my channel. My correspondence has gone unanswered, and my concerns remain unresolved.
My YouTube channel has now been removed TWICE in just THREE DAYS.
Even if my channel is reinstated, I am now facing two copyright strikes relating to thumbnails for which I own the copyright. How are copyright complaints being submitted and processed while my channel is already removed?
I cannot effectively defend my journalism when automated systems appear to misunderstand my work and my detailed explanations go unanswered.
I am not promoting scams. I am exposing the people behind them.
Please escalate this matter to a real person who can review my appeal, investigate the pattern of reports, examine the copyright complaints, and help protect legitimate investigative journalism.

Fraud can happen to anyone, but too often, embarrassment or fear keeps victims from speaking up.
As #CyberMonth2026 comes to a close, we're reminding Canadians that open conversations about fraud can help reduce stigma, raise awareness and protect others.
Every report matters, even if no money was lost. By speaking up and reporting fraud, you can help the CAFC identify trends and support efforts to prevent others from becoming victims.

If you're a content creator, please beware of these phishing emails designed to lure you into clicking malicious links. You could lose access to your channel/email. Always reach out to @TeamYouTube if that ever happens to you! xitter.cf/Jay_Legere/status/2114β¦

The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC) wants to warn Canadians about the importance of protecting their personal and financial information.
Fraudsters can collect information from many sources, including social media, fraudulent emails and text messages, online forms and surveys, data breaches and information that is publicly available. Details such as your name, date of birth, phone number, employer, family members, travel plans or social media activity may not seem sensitive on their own. However, when these details are combined, they can help fraudsters build a more complete picture of you.

THIS! ALL OF THIS!
YouTube channel hijacks are on the rise again, it seems. Three Creators I know have been hit this month and had their channels hijacked and stolen.
DO THIS NOW!
Get all of this information and put it somewhere safe that you can quickly access in event of a hijacking.
π Full Channel URL: Must be the standard format (e.g., ://youtube.com), not a custom /c/ or legacy /user/ URL.
π Channel ID and Handle: Your unique channel identifier and @username handle.
π Recovery Email and Phone Number: The original recovery contacts (or a fresh, uncompromised Gmail address you created for YouTube support to communicate with you).
π Recent Video ID: The ID or link to a video you recently published on the channel.
π IP Address: Your approximate or specific IP address active around the time the hack occurred.
π Timestamp of the Hack: The approximate date and time the unauthorized takeover happened.
π Pre-Hack Screenshots: Images or proof of your channel name, banner, or dashboard before it was altered.
π Description of the Incident: A clear summary of how the compromise happened (for example, a phishing link, fake sponsor email, or stolen session cookie)
If your YouTube channel is hijacked, use the link I'll post here to fill out the hijacked channel recovery form, which will ask for the above information to get the recovery process moving quickly.
