Gold doesn't always stop you out because your analysis is wrong. Sometimes, your entry is simply too early.👀 If you've traded $XAUUSD long enough, you know exactly what I'm talking about. You identify a key level. Price approaches it. Everything looks good, so you enter. Then suddenly, price spikes against you, takes your stop loss, and moves exactly where you anticipated. Frustrating, right? This is why I pay so much attention to how price hunts liquidity around my key levels. I'm not just interested in where price might go. I'm interested in how it behaves before making that move. With my TLM framework, I use the timing, key levels, and momentum around a particular session to help determine whether a Sell Limit or Sell Stop makes more sense. Sometimes, the best trade is the one you patiently wait for. Other times, the market moves without you. And that's fine. Missing an entry is part of trading. Getting stopped out is part of trading. What matters is having a playbook, managing your risk, and understanding that profitability comes from the relationship between your wins and losses over time. My goal isn't to predict every move. it has nothing to do with my strategy or patience, but it has something to do with my loss tolerance(broken), Unrealistic Profit targets(high RR and over leverage) and Pressure to perform while trying to achieve XYZ results in a very Small sample period space.... in summary my behaviorial execution is broken. this is the reason why traders spend years trying to solve the market instead of realizing how to accept outcome and follow their plans as it limits them. funny enough, most trader have no plans and then crown it with bad behavior.
