If you are looking to modernize your messaging stack, this is a great first step.
Solace → NATS maps more cleanly than most teams expect. The trick is knowing where it isn’t 1:1. Bruno Baloi walks the full concept map in under 3 min: subjects, accounts, JWTs, JetStream, leaf nodes, superclusters. youtube.com/watch?v=OoUsZhaw…

Really good point. I don’t agree with everything @elonmusk does these days, but I’m not betting against him either.
I’ve spent a few days thinking about the Tesla Roadster reveal and landed somewhere I haven’t seen much discussion. I’m neither a Tesla fanboy nor a Tesla hater. And I couldn’t care less whether what we saw technically qualifies as a flying car. Three takeaways: (1) The risk of that live demonstration going horribly wrong was real. Almost no CEO would willingly expose their company to that kind of public humiliation for a product with so little financial upside. Elon did. (2) That willingness to attempt the seemingly impossible is what makes Tesla special. It’s also arguably Elon’s greatest contribution to America. He’s helped bring back something we’ve lost. The American spirit of chasing big scary ideas that most people think are impossible. That mindset is spreading across a new generation of founders and its long term impact on America’s future could dwarf anything Tesla ever sells. I think this is deeply underappreciated. (3) Can we just acknowledge how insanely cool that moment was? We’ve reached a strange place culturally where even extraordinary feats of human ingenuity immediately become arguments about why they don’t count. Not everything needs to be a debate. Sometimes we should just be able to stand back together and marvel at what humans are capable of. I’ve been both bullish and critical of Tesla’s ambitions over the years. But watching Elon and his team push the boundaries of what’s possible reminds me why I’m glad we have him. Whether the Roadster ever makes Tesla a dollar or impacts $TSLA stock price is almost beside the point. We need more people willing to risk failure in pursuit of things the rest of us think are impossible. Because when they succeed we all win.

A @NATS_io stream loses quorum at 3am. Who finds out first, and do they know what to do?

Many NATS servers never see the inside of a data center. When a consumer falls behind at one wind farm out of 400, someone at HQ needs to know which one, without logging into 400 machines. Synadia Insights now shows the whole fleet in one place, no homegrown tooling required.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I much prefer the design of the @telsa roadster they showed us in 2017.

Hey @Tesla and @elonmusk - Super excited for the new Roadster event, especially after giving an interest free loan for last 10yrs, but FFS it's 3 days away and still no communications about logistics for folks that need to make travel plans etc. to attend.

I think the constant pressure of utility pricing and risk, along with challenges to justify high token prices over a broad audience will lead to frontiers not releasing the frontier models but to use them internally to compete and solve higher economic returns around health, medicine, biology and math and physics.

Connecting agents across tools gets messy fast. This repo gives them a common NATS path. Synadia Agents is a set of SDKs and ready-to-run agent plugins for putting AI agents on NATS. It helps you connect existing harnesses or build your own agent integration by using a shared protocol for agent discovery, prompting, and streamed responses. Key features: • Caller + host SDKs – TypeScript and Python packages for discovering/prompting agents or registering and serving one • Ready-to-run plugins – channels for tools including Claude Code, OpenClaw, PI, OpenCode, Codex, and more • Standard service endpoints – plugins expose prompt, status, and heartbeat endpoints through NATS microservices • Cross-SDK interop test – validates the TypeScript reference agent against the Python client • End-to-end examples – includes a browser client plus examples for headless sessions and from-scratch agents It’s open-source under the Apache License 2.0. It’s pretty incredible how much has happened in South Florida just in 2026: • Jan 12: Vanderbilt moves forward with a ~$520M West Palm Beach campus. Stephen Ross commits $50M. • Jan 20: Wells Fargo moves its Wealth & Investment Management HQ to West Palm Beach. ~$16B annual revenue business. • Jan 27: D-Wave moves its corporate HQ from Palo Alto → Boca Raton and builds a major R&D operation at BRiC. • Jan 27: FAU commits $20M to bring a D-Wave quantum computer to Boca and build out its quantum ecosystem. • Feb 17: Palantir moves its HQ from Denver → South Florida. • Mar 25: KKR opens a permanent office in Miami. • June 2: Pine Crest announces a new West Palm Beach campus. Stephen Ross ultimately commits $100M to the project. • Sep 10: Andreessen Horowitz announces a West Palm Beach regional HQ for its $1.176B American Dynamism fund. • Sep 11: Stephen Ross / Related Ross buys BRiC in Boca: 124 acres + 1.7M sq. ft. of space. • Sep 30: Ken Griffin gives Carnegie Mellon $3 BILLION, the largest individual gift in higher-ed history. $2B goes toward building CMU Miami in Wynwood for 3,500+ students. And this is on top of Citadel building its new Miami HQ and Stephen Ross planning $10B+ of investment across Palm Beach County. Vanderbilt. Carnegie Mellon. Palantir. D-Wave. a16z. KKR. Wells Fargo. Citadel. FAU. Pine Crest. Miami → Fort Lauderdale → Boca → West Palm. Feels like South Florida is hitting an inflection point, and we’re just getting started. This reads much more naturally for X/LinkedIn while keeping the numbers that make the story impressive.

My entire adult life, I've listened to people explain what Miami isn't. Not serious. Not technical. A party town. A punchline. “The Miami thing is over." Yesterday Ken Griffin committed $3 billion to bring @CarnegieMellon to Miami. The largest individual gift in the history of American higher education. Not to Boston. Not to Palo Alto. To Wynwood. Some history for the skeptics: 1873: Johns Hopkins leaves $7M to Baltimore. People shrug it off. It invents the American research university. 1891: The Stanfords plant $40M in orchard country. Fifty quiet years. Then Terman. Then HP. Then Fairchild. The Valley of Heart's Delight becomes Silicon Valley. 1900: Carnegie builds a school for millworkers' kids. Steel dies. The school doesn't. It gives Pittsburgh robotics, Google, a second century and America a place in the geopolitical fight for the frontier. Those places which have driven American innovation didn’t just spring out of nowhere, it took visionary philanthropy and the long slow toil of faculty, students and communities. Stanford waited half a century and two world wars before its national moment. Miami and Florida’s moment is already here. AI. Defense. Energy. Hemispheric capital and so much more. And we're not starting in orchards. UM, FIU, MDC already produce talent and knowledge at scale. CMU isn't replacing our home universities. It's pouring accelerant on our region. The haters judged Miami on a news cycle. Cities are judged in centuries. Welcome to Miami's next hundred years. We're just getting started.
