Blur is shutting down its website on November 12, 2026.
The once-dominant Ethereum NFT marketplace is closing its frontend after monthly trading volume collapsed more than 99.5%, from $1.43 billion in March 2023 to under $7 million in March 2026.
What stays:
- The on-chain marketplace protocol remains operational
- BLUR holders retain control of the protocol's fee switch
- Ethereum smart contracts remain active
What ends:
- The official blur dot io frontend
- New loan matching on Blend, Blur's NFT lending platform
- Borrowers must repay by November 12 or risk defaulting
Blur says it will provide a frontend tool to help users withdraw their assets from Blend after the deadline.
This isn't just a Blur story. It's a sign of how far NFT trading activity has fallen from its 2023 peak.
