Thanks to @morris_jak62720 for taking us on a truly interesting and inspiring wander through the North East yesterday! If you're out and about between Sunderland and Durham today you might spot him recreating a section of the walk. Say hi! @CrossingtheTees #FromTheSaltToTheAsh

ALT A man wearing a dark shirt and light trousers stands in front of a banner. Hands raised in front of his chest, an open book in his right hand. The banner says Crossing the Tees Book Festival and has a large pink stylised book with hands holding it open with smaller books below flying like butterflies.

A big shout-out to @drakebookshop, who supported my event at the @CrossingtheTees book festival 📚🕵️♀️
#HerSecretService is suitably colour coordinated with the Drake Bookshop banner! It was lovely to meet the owner, Mel, and talk about the important role independent bookshops play in local communities.
There are a handful of signed copies of my debut book in the shop in Stockton-on-Tees, or you can visit the shop website: drakethebookshop.co.uk

Last week, I visited Hartlepool for the Crossing the Tees Book Festival @CrossingtheTees. It is the furthest I have gone 'up north' speaking about my debut book #HerSecretService @wnbooks
Compared to other book festivals, this celebration of books and their authors is truly unique because it is based in libraries and spread across the Tees Valley region: Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington, and Redcar & Cleveland.
It is also the first time a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter (MeSign) has been present, should there be a need. I wonder how many other festivals offer this? If they don't, they really should, as book festivals are for everyone #DeafBlindAwarenessWeek #SignLanguage #BSL @BDA_Deaf
The festival runs until the end of June. For further event information, see: crossingthetees.org 📚
