The Civic Initiative is delighted to announce our North West regional co-conveners.
We will be working with @CommDialogue and @cooperationirl to deliver a citizen-led examination of key issues under the framework of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement in December.
Since this post, Dermot, endured online abuse and has since spoken out against it @irish_news today. We are so proud of Dermot and this is our pic of good times in Dublin. The Emerald Isle is beautiful. Words do not have to hurt. #peace #love #InclusionMatters
What's happened in Dublin last night was a disgrace. They do not represent me or my country.
The fact that they are using the horrific attack yesterday as an excuse to spread their hatred is disgusting.
This is what the real Ireland is, a welcoming place for everyone. To work, socialise, and educate together.

Our old tweet suddenly popped up today. 1 December, year end and we are missing Sarah. Good colleague, friend and supporter of equality and human rights. #InMemoryof a reminder, of good times, memories and friendships.
#OnAir 3pm @Belfast89FM today!
belfast89.com/how-to-listen/ Sarah Rudek, from Minneapolis, our guest today is a games developer and the founder of Belfast-based games company, Shieldmaiden Studios. A perpetual techno-optimist!

We are delighted at this news of Professor Piotr Blumczyński! Well deserved. Great memories of being involved in facilitating the focus groups for ‘Translating Values.’ This is an amazing book and resource #culturalawareness #language #attitudes : waterstones.com/book/transla…
I am humbled and delighted to announce my promotion to (Full) Professor at @QUBelfast!
Updating my office door, I found all my previous tags tucked in there: a cool visual narrative of personal/institutional history.

Our first speaker @eileenweir6 remembers that the Good Friday Agreement was impossible to understand without a university degree, so people really relied on their politicians, and on grassroots women’s organisations, to help them understand before voting 🗳

Next, @Nicole_PKelly3, who is the same age as the Agreement, speaks about what peace means to young people - an end to violence, removal of paramilitaries, and a functioning Executive, among many others.
She asks us to consider if these have been achieved 25 years on #GFA25

Eilish Rooney of @TJI_ would love to see the Good Friday Agreement (Eileen’s easy-read version!) on school curricula, North and South.
📖She reads us some of the Agreement, noting the protections for diversity which are built in. They are alive, she says, but not well.
