The US government issued a new host of blockade measures against the Cuban people. People to people contacts are eliminated and exchanges between academics and researchers are further restricted. Prohibitions to prevent Cuban private entities from engaging in direct business with the United States and US banks are reinforced. U-turn transactions have also been banned. Indirect operations with the entities included in the State Department unilateral list of designated entities are also prohibited. Less than 24 hours ago, the Secretary of State said that "Cuba has already fallen", and it so happens that it is now when he needs to apply additional measures.
