On Friday, December 6, we celebrated a historic moment as we rang the @NYSE Closing Bell® to commemorate the initial public offering of Chain Bridge Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: CBNA) — the first IPO for a U.S. banking institution in over two years. "Our public listing marks an important milestone and underscores the success of our deposit-oriented banking strategy," said our founder and Chairman Peter G. Fitzgerald. "As a public company, we intend to continue to emphasize liquidity, asset quality and financial strength."

Eight colleagues from Chain Bridge Bank, N.A. ran the DC Half Races in Washington on September 19 and 20. Three finished their first half marathon. The runners work across the Bank: in operations, client service, digital banking, compliance, information technology, lending, and the Trust & Wealth Department, whose team shirts several of them wore. The DC Half, staged by Pacers Running, pairs a Saturday 5K with a Sunday half marathon from West Potomac Park past the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials. Some of the Bank’s runners entered the 5K, some the 13.1 miles, and a few completed both under the District Challenge. One first-time finisher had not entered a race before last year’s McLean 5K. A colleague coached him through the training, and he finished in under two hours. The next run is the McLean 5K on Saturday, October 10, of which the Bank is a Community Champion sponsor.
