I've been looking for this tweet. Will pin it to my account as a reminder of the threat of disinformation, doublespeak. xitter.cf/kasparov63/status/8087…
The point of modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It is to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth.

The Chiefs were 80-2 with Patrick Mahomes when they had a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter before the 28-24 loss to the Broncos.

Between Josh Simmons, Kingsley Suamataia and Jaylon Moore, the Chiefs offensive line has more drama & mystery than an episode of “Traitors.”

When you’re breaking a Gretzky record, you’re pretty damn good.
More history for Connor McDavid 🤯 He became the fastest player in NHL history to reach 30 assists in a season, besting the previous mark set by Wayne Gretzky (16 GP in 1984-85). #NHLStats

THIS!!!! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
What an absolute EMBARRASSMENT. Can't get a freaking yard from the 1 yard line because you refuse to sneak the ball, WITH A TIME OUT. YOU HAVE MULTIPLE CHANCES AT IT. WELL DESERVED LOSS.

What an absolute train wreck of a second half. From the 4th down decision, to Butker in the rain to the drive that stalls in the red zone at the end. The Chiefs had it in their hand & well…turned it over. This one hurts.
BRONCOS WIN

Sadly, there are many Canadians who have already made that decision. And many more who will go to the US but only because they have no choice.
“NEVER COME TO THE U.S. AGAIN!” A Border Patrol agent screams at a motorist with a Canadian flag on his car. What a disgrace. Thriller. 💀 Killer. 🇺🇦
Michael Jackson filmed Thriller with zombies. We made our own version — featuring our Ukrainian pilots! 😎🇺🇦 Who's scarier to the enemy? That's a rhetorical question. 💀 Happy Halloween! 👻 P.S. A unseasonably warm October 31. Awaiting the neighborhood throngs with treats and silliness. Happy Halloween to all the little monsters out there. 🎃

A weekend announcement of an agreement to end the war in Iran? Probably wise to be a healthy skeptic of any such news.

But sure invite Russia to the G20 and to the IIHF world championship. 🤷🏼‍♂️
1/8 A new form of terrorism is emerging in Europe. Russia and Iran are recruiting criminals and ordinary people online to carry out attacks on their behalf. In our new article, Sophie Roehse and I call this “Terrorism-as-a-Service.” A thread. 🧵

Norway has no more s*#%s to give about the US President. 💩🚽🇳🇴
Norway is responding to Donald Trump’s insults by embracing them. After the US president called the country “a s---house,” its official travel guide has retorted with a list of roadside restrooms built in picturesque locations bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

It’s been fascinating to watch the Dans Sullivan imbroglio in Alaska. On Monday, folks in Toronto faced choosing between 2 mayoral candidates with the same last name next to each other on the same ballot… Yet they managed to not be confused & re-elected the incumbent.

Pretty sure this is what the crew ate in “Alien.”
Stargazy Pie 📍 Cornwall, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Learn more: tasteatlas.com/stargazy-pie Hailing from the coastal village of Mousehole, Stargazy Pie is easily one of the most visually distinctive dishes in British culinary history. Whole sardines are baked beneath a pastry crust with their heads poking out toward the sky, allowing the rich fish oils to seep back into a savory cream and egg filling. Legend has it the dish was invented in the 16th century by local hero Tom Bawcock, who braved a fierce winter storm to save his starving town from famine, leaving the fish heads visible to prove the catch was real. Centuries later, this dramatic pie remains a beloved symbol of Cornish folklore and community spirit. Video: @gill.meller

A universe without Patrick Stewart hits different. Kinda wish we had a replicator.

Wonder how he managed on all those foreign trips? Oh right…
JD Vance whines about translators in hospitals and says, "how about if everyone just spoke English?"

Read this about Sir Patrick Stewart.
SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026) Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love. We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway. America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire. His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen. Ian McKellen 29 October 2026 Photo: University of Huddersfield
