💡The true measure of a road is whether people can use it safely, reliably and equitably.
🇬🇾 At the recent launch of the Socially Inclusive and Gender-Responsive Road Safety Awareness Communication Strategy in Guyana, Sharon Griffith, CDB’s Programme Manager, Infrastructure Partnerships (UKCIF), joined other infrastructure experts to call for safer, more inclusive transport mobility.
🛣️Grounded in consultation with institutions and communities—including women, youth and Indigenous peoples—the Strategy will support safer choices and shared responsibility among all road users.
📣Its key message, “Be the reason everyone is safe,” will be amplified by road safety champions through a six-week nationwide anti-speeding campaign and community-based road safety activities.
🙌CDB is proud to support the initiative alongside the Government of Guyana and the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office through the UK Caribbean Infrastructure Partnership Fund Linden–Mabura Hill Road Upgrade Project
