Ah - This is truly a bittersweet day for me. Ruth Adkins Robinson passed earlier this month. She would have celebrated a birthday today.
Ruth was such a long-standing, constellation in my life that my Universe feels unbalanced without her. Her incandescent brilliance and wild, untamed energy is legendary. Having her be so close was akin to having a Bengal Tiger as a house guest - unpredictable danger, creativity, with pure excitement included with every day.
A Writer, TV and Record Producer, Poet, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Editor, Historian and Lover were some of her legendary contributions to the Hollywood tapestry.
I count my relationship with Ruthie as a bejeweled blessing, one that leaves a magical imprint on my life forever. Rest In Power my brilliant friend. You will always be loved and respected as A Great One.
Love,
Brian

Steve Girard Felix
Today, along with family and friends, I will join the Celebration of Life of Mr. Steve Felix.
He was The BusBoys’ drummer from the earliest days. The Minimum Wage,
American Worker, Money Don’t Make No Man and The Boys Are Back In Town albums were all powered by his pulse and time keeping. “48 HRS.”,
“Ghostbusters”, Saturday Night Live and all of our film and TV appearances and countless shows and tours were done with Steve leading our way.
He was our musical brother and loyal band mate for many, special years. We salute you and your family Steve Felix, and thank you for giving your all to our heartfelt contributions to Rock & Roll history. We will always love you.
