Then there's the Grimoire. It's a premium item that reveals a unique character. But you don't need one to play. You can just play the game.

Which means duplicates aren't useless. You can: keep them use them on quests or combine 3 to evolve that hero. Now you're thinking twice before throwing anything away

And your heroes can get stronger too. 3 copies of the same hero + materials → next rarity. Common → Rare → Epic → Legendary

Every quest asks for certain traits. So you pick 3 heroes that fit. Then send them out.
