Let's do this again!
If you have a (still useful) tech book you don't need, bring it to PyCon, contact me, or drop it at the @blackpythondevs booth and I'll help find it a new home.
If you won't be attending PyCon US, kindly send me a dm and let's work out a plan.
It's a wonderful time for Black Python Devs! It's time to celebrate 1000 members in the Discord!
Reminder that any one that supports the idea of creating community for Black Pythonistas around the globe is invited to join!

We had an excellent first year as a non-profit, but we need your help to continue on.
Our projections show that if funding doesn't increase, we'll only be able to support Black Python Communities for the next 1.25 years 😲.

Something important to us from day one was regional representation. Our BPD Council ensured that we heard from community leaders in all that we did.
This takes things a step further by installing leadership at the continental level.
Congratulations to @afi_maame for her selection to the @djangoproject Board of Directors.

We're happy to announce that we've been sponsored by @typefully.
Typefully is an app that lets us manage our posts across, X, LinkedIn, and Bluesky.
While talking with their team we learned that Typefully loves (and uses) Python.
Typefully's sponsorship gives us the ability to sponsor another conference in 2025!
In 2024 we supported 15 events around the world and have plans to do MORE (more events, larger amounts, more attendees!)
We're super thankful for @Typefully for their support of Black Python Devs! And yes this post was written, scheduled and analyzed using Typefully. Check them out Today at typefully.com.
