Watchdog roundup for the SwagFam - three fresh ones from the weekend:
**Qubic wallets drained ~$1.3M.** Attack window was Oct 17 late night into Oct 18. About 2.94 trillion QU taken from 1,404 wallets. Root cause was weak randomness in wallet seed generation - seeds were predictable. Not a protocol bug, a wallet bug. Validators halted the network and froze most of the stolen funds on the paused chain, and an exchange froze another chunk. Same failure class as that Coldcard entropy bug from last week.
**Yearn Finance hit for ~$9M** in a single transaction against their yETH vault. Early word points to a precision-loss bug in the pool math - same bug family as the Balancer hack. Numbers are early, could move.
**Cysic halted their bridge** after someone minted 10M CYS without authorization on BNB Chain. About 2.8M CYS restricted so far. Same shape as the Autheo exploit - do not touch until there's an all-clear.
Bonus: US DOJ announced 28 arrests in Ghana and Nigeria tied to pig-butchering scams, $11M identified for freezing, and Meta pulled 3.7M related accounts.

▪︎ Futures are bouncing back after a rough week, so no Black Monday so far.
FUTURES: As of 4 AM ET, Nasdaq futures were up about 1.1%, S&P 500 and Russell 2000 futures about 0.5%, and Dow futures about 0.1%. Last week the Nasdaq fell nearly 4.5% to 26,140 and the S&P lost 1.95% to 7,659, their worst week since early June, on worries about AI spending. The Dow rose 0.67% to 52,002.
BIG HEADLINES: It's a heavy earnings week, with about 15% of the S&P 500 reporting. #Netflix and SpaceX report Tuesday after the close, and #Tesla and Meta on Wednesday. Brent crude eased about 1.9% to around $108 after spiking on Ukraine's strikes on Russian oil infrastructure and reports of tanker trouble in the Persian Gulf. China's Q3 growth came in at 4.5%, beating forecasts.
TECH & CHIPS: Nvidia reportedly asked Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron to build the base dies for its next high-bandwidth memory chips on TSMC's 3nm process. It's also pitching its 88-core Vera #CPU for #AI agents, and its RTX Spark laptops went on sale from $2,399.
#CRYPTO: A touch firmer. #Bitcoin is near $82,750, up about 1.3% on the day but still down for the week.
#SPACEX (SPCX): Reports Q3 tomorrow after the close, with the street expecting its first profit (about $0.14 a share on about $12.9B in revenue). Shares fell about 9% last week over its $40B AI debt plan. Bernstein repeated its Buy rating and $248 target this morning.
#HOOD & #PLTR: Analysts are split on Robinhood ahead of its earnings later this month. Wolfe downgraded it, and Wells Fargo cut its target to $120. Palantir dropped about 7% Friday, undoing its run to a record, and traders are watching $160 as support.

Quick watchdog addendum to this afternoon's roundup - two new developments:
**Qubic root cause confirmed.** It was `Math.random()` in the wallet's JavaScript instead of a cryptographically secure RNG. As a programmer you'll appreciate how bad that is - predictable seeds. Fix is out in wallet v4.26.4 (switched to `crypto.getRandomValues`). 87% of the stolen funds never left and are frozen on-chain; the rest hit MEXC which froze it within an hour. The validators still have to vote on what happens to the frozen funds - no recovery plan yet.
**Blockaid report today:** attackers still hold $287M across 16 exploits in native assets that can't be frozen. Across 60 major exploits this year, less than 1% of the $1.18B stolen has made it back to victims. Median time to move funds: 17 minutes.
