I have to think this is happening, in part, because Iran’s military has been decimated
And for the same reason I expect to see a lot more investment in technology, culture, etc. throughout the Middle East

OpenAI/Hugging Face smells like a hoax
Perpetuating an “accidental hack” event does two things for Sam Altman’s company:
-Ramps up political scrutiny of powerful AI models (particularly Anthropic’s Claude)
-Publicizes ChatGPT’s supposed advancements

I agree the job market is painful for both sides and like with most problems in 2026 there's a simple solution: Get off the Internet
Organizations would be wise to exit online recruiting tools and have applicants submit applications in-person or via mail

Chick-Fil-A has 200k employees in stores and only 3k at corporate
That’s called running a tight ship

Oh bummer. This is such a useful app for Wi-Fi professionals

As a Wi-Fi community, we really should shun Microsoft
Buy Macs, use Google for apps & email, AWS for Cloud, Linux for infra, etc.
MS killed password-based EAP, despite it being simple, secure & cheap
They hooked us on MS-CHAPv2, then removed it because they can’t “monetize” it
Every company that find success has two options in how to grow: Organization or Chaos
If you get organized, you’ll be better able to spot unexpected opportunities (e.g. AWS)
But organization comes with corporate bloat, which inevitably leads to decline
Behold the power of Data Loss Prevention tools

Good read from @mikeddano, and here’s the money shot for Wi-Fi folks
90% of Comcast’s cellular traffic goes over Wi-Fi, and I bet that # is similar everywhere
Reality is, Wi-Fi is the civilized world’s gateway to communication and cellular exists to fill in gaps
"Wireless is 'our number one priority as we push forward,' says Steve Croney, the new CEO of Comcast's Connectivity & Platforms unit."

I know less than nothing about Allbirds IT, but it sure looks to me like the company is going to survive because they stayed on-prem
Had they gone cloud — like so many companies have done and are doing — they would have no AI GPUs to sell as a service
*ALLBIRDS ANNOUNCES EXPANSION INTO AI COMPUTE INFRASTRUCTURE
$BIRD (Allbirds) is changing their name to NewBird AI and is announced their expansion into AI Compute Infrastructure.
The failed shoe business, which recently sold the Allbird’s brand and footwear assets to American Exchange Group will now pivot to become a fully integrated GPU-as-a-service (GPUaaS)
What the fuck?
This is a remarkable Wi-Fi adjacent story
Globalstar owns “channel 14” of the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi spectrum. It’s licensed for satellite phones
~15 years ago cellular was killing satellite phones, and Globalstar was close to done
They hung around, and now they got $11.6 billion
Replying to @amazon
@amazon is acquiring @Globalstar to integrate their low Earth orbit satellites into our constellation. This combination will rapidly accelerate our plans to add direct-to-device capabilities into our satellite network to support calling, texting, data, and more.
Trump could solve a lot of problems with the job market if LinkedIn blocked people from applying unless their profile shows Open To Work
As a person who as seen AI-powered "remediation actions" in Wi-Fi for many years, I suspect this press release is mostly BS

UWRB appears to be Cisco’s attempt to fill the vacuum created by the tepid adoption of private 5G
It also reveals an uncomfortable truth: The vast majority of enterprise Wi-Fi stinks
UWRB implies stinky Wi-Fi is a tech limitation. I suspect it’s more about setup-config-support
Surprising development, but… Sampath was never any good. Makes me think Verizon finally might be righting the ship
Verizon CEO Dan Schulman replaces Sowmyanarayan Sampath (who was expected to eventually replace Schulman as CEO of Verizon) with Alfonso Villanueva. Villanueva was a member of Schulman’s leadership team at PayPal during Schulman's tenure as CEO there.
