Rage. Rage of the governed. Rage at those who govern them. That is what drives so much of politics here and all over the world and threatens to overturn the old order. I’ve been speaking to Hollywood’s favourite Brit Paul Greengrass - director of the Bourne movie - which examines that rage in his new film “The Uprising” for this week’s Political Thinking. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m00325…

The Uprising is the name of a new movie about a very old and yet strangely familiar story. The Uprising tells the story of what schools used to call The Peasants' Revolt - the ferocious rebellion against the tyranny of King Richard Il in 1381. Starring Andrew Garfield - best known for playing spiderman in a film written and directed by Paul Greengrass - best known for directing high-intensity thrillers like the Jason Bourne films and Captain Phillips. Greengrass - a fomer journalist on the World in Action current affairs programme - is fascinated by the abuse of power and how we react to it. I hope you’ll agree it’s a fascinating listen.
