Wanted to share something we showed at last week's Aus DeFi meetup in Sydney over at @stoneandchalk - this was our manifesto for the new year where we said "We believe DeFi is evolving... and so must we."
And it's true. We started the Australian DeFi Association not to just be about investing, but to be much more than that. To us, decentralised finance is about the technology and payment rails and systems that underpin not just capital and investment markets, but commerce in general.
Just like our friends at @DECAustralia changed their mandate to focus on the wider digital economy, so must we.
A big part of this is the AI story (but also other technologies that come in the future). We've already been well on that journey if you've been to our meetups and per our website, we're bringing AI tooling to make the advocacy of blockchain easier.
What this means in the future for all of you is this.
Expect more participation from those working on AI, DeFi, Blockchain and emerging technologies in general.
Expect more insights and learning about how these worlds converge
Expect more support and showcases from what builders are building.
And expect more adoption as we share stories, insights and learnings from those working at this cutting edge... because lowering the barriers of entry is the most important mission we've got here.
