Critical missions. Advanced technology. Global Impact. Built right here in metro Atlanta. ✈️ At its Marietta, Georgia, facility, @LockheedMartin has delivered the first C-130J-30 Super Hercules aircraft for new U.S. Navy missions. The aircraft will help the Navy communicate critical commands to its nuclear-armed submarines, even during a national emergency. It’s another example of the advanced manufacturing, defense innovation and industry expertise that make metro Atlanta a key player in the nation’s aerospace and defense ecosystem. @LMNews

No better way to kick off my visit to Georgia than at the Metro @atlchamber’s breakfast, discussing how the EU and Atlanta are working together to drive innovation, investment, and opportunity on both sides of the Atlantic.

Inbox: Atlanta’s skyline is going blue. Buildings, venues, and landmarks across the city will light up in Dream blue from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday,l as the Atlanta Dream heads into the #WNBA Finals. #AtlantaDream #WNBA
All season, #Dream coach Karl Smesko, along with Rhyne Howard, Angel Reese and Jordin Canada felt that Atlanta had one of the best defensive teams in the #WNBA this season. Even more, the trio also collectively felt that the DPOY would come from the #Dream this season. Angel Reese earned DPOY, first player in #Dream history to earn the award. The trio of Canada, Howard and Reese all earn WNBA All-Defensive Team honors. Reese, Howard and Canada combined for 6.0 steals per game during the regular season. The trio made #WNBA history by becoming the first three teammates to finish as the league's top three in steals per game. The Dream also placed three players among the league's top 10 in defensive win shares. #WNBA #AtlantaDream

AI is moving fast, and Atlanta has a lot to bring to the conversation. 🤖 That was on display at the 2026 AI Summit at Avant South, where @atlchamber Chief Economist @DrJerryParrish, joined Ana Lenoir Minter, Principal at @RSMUSLLP; @RonnieChatterji, Chief Economist at @OpenAI; and Tim Lieuwen, Interim President at @GeorgiaTech. Together, they explored what Atlanta’s mix of research, talent, investment, and public-private collaboration could mean for the region’s role in applied AI.

Big wins. Bigger global ambitions. 🌎🏆 Last night, metro Atlanta businesses took the stage for the Metro Export Challenge’s annual Pitch Day competition, showcasing their global ambitions and competing for $30,000 in funding to help take their businesses to the next level. The event also celebrated the program’s 10-year anniversary. Our winners are: 🥇 Integrated Environmental Services, Inc. — $15,000 award recipient 🥈 Adravision — $10,000 award recipient 🥉 @KahuaInc — $5,000 award recipient A big thank-you to our sponsors and partners who make this program possible: @Delta, @DecideDeKalb, Partnership Gwinnett, the Georgia Department of Economic Development (@gdecd), NRW.Global Business, the International Trade Administration (@TradeGov), @SelectCobb, @SelectFulton, and the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (@ugasbdc). Here’s to helping more Georgia businesses compete and grow on the global stage. 🌍

What happens when tariffs hit Georgia-made and Georgia-grown products? From advanced manufacturing to poultry, cotton, soybeans, and pecans, trade policy can have a very real impact on the businesses that power Georgia’s economy. In the latest edition of Georgia by the Numbers, Metro Atlanta Chamber's Chief Economist Dr. Jerry Parrish (@DrJerryParrish) looks at how rising tariffs and trade uncertainty are affecting Georgia’s export economy, and what it means for businesses planning, operating, and growing across the state.

Sometimes, growth starts by getting in the right room. After receiving a grant through the Metro Export Challenge, Atlanta-based Cooper’s Gourmet – a producer of gourmet cheese straws and snacks – used the funds to exhibit at an international air show in California. The opportunity put Cooper’s Gourmet products in front of major corporations and opened the door to new business relationships far beyond its home market. For a growing Atlanta company, that kind of exposure can turn an unexpected opportunity into a new path for growth. It’s a powerful example of what can happen when Metro Atlanta companies get the opportunity to compete globally: new connections create new possibilities, and a little Atlanta flavor can go a long way.

One Atlanta company. A global mission. A world of opportunity. With support from the Metro Export Challenge, Atlanta-based life sciences company LivFul expanded its innovative insect repellent into international markets. In Hong Kong, LivFul partnered with one of the region’s largest pharmaceutical companies. In Ghana, a local partnership grew into a self-sustaining business that created jobs in the community. Today, @LivFulinc continues to develop and distribute health solutions through partners around the world. It’s a powerful example of what can happen when Metro Atlanta companies get the opportunity to compete globally: new markets create new partnerships, global growth creates local opportunity, and an Atlanta company can make an impact far beyond its borders.

For Graham-Field, going global meant getting its products in front of the right people. 🌎 When Atlanta-based healthcare manufacturer Graham-Field participated in the Metro Export Challenge, it used its $5,000 grant to expand its international trade show participation and reach new customers. The investment helped Graham-Field showcase its U.S.-made healthcare products to international audiences and build on its growing export business. When metro Atlanta companies get the opportunity to compete globally, it means opening new markets, creating new customers, and helping Atlanta-made products reach the world.

For Aventure Aviation (@AventureAviator), the world was already its market. Metro Export Challenge helped it go even further. Atlanta-based Aventure Aviation participated in the inaugural Metro Export Challenge in 2016, where the company received a $5,000 grant before going on to win the competition’s $20,000 first-place prize. Aventure Aviation used its grant to exhibit at the Marrakech Air Show in Morocco, which put the company in front of new international customers and led to several contracts, including a new three-year agreement worth more than $5 million. For Aventure, the opportunity to take its business to an international audience turned one trade show into new relationships, new contracts, and millions in new business.

Turning a $5,000 grant into global opportunity. 🍷 In 2022, Atlanta-based data analytics company Enolytics received grant funding from the Metro Export Challenge, using its $5,000 award to join a U.S. Commercial Service Women in Technology Trade Mission. The weeklong mission took @Enolytics to Amsterdam, Lisbon, and Paris for business-to-business meetings with potential international partners and clients. By the end of the trip, the company had identified several promising leads interested in its services. And the relationships didn’t end when the trip did. On a recent visit to Lisbon, the Enolytics team reconnected with contacts they first met during the 2022 mission to revisit new opportunities. As the company has evolved, so have the needs of international companies, making those relationships a foundation for an ongoing conversation about where new opportunities can emerge. It’s a powerful example of what can happen when Metro Atlanta companies get the opportunity to compete globally: one opportunity can open new markets, create lasting connections, and put Atlanta innovation in front of customers around the world.
