So apparently, Zainab Bashir Saidu, wife of Bashir Saidu, was appointed Deputy Director in the SSG’s office last week. We kept quiet from the onset, like reasonable people, when Bashir presented himself as being on Malam El-Rufai’s side, and his move to SDP and later ADC was presented as being born out of shared principles and ideology. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed there was more to it than politics as usual. But we also remembered the reports surrounding his earlier fallout with Uba Sani, which linked the disagreement to his wife not being appointed commissioner. Again, we kept quiet. Fast-forward to today: Bashir has moved to APC, and his wife has reportedly been appointed Deputy Director in the SSG’s office. Nobody is claiming the appointment was a condition for the political move. But the timing is certainly interesting enough for people to ask questions. Because after all the talk of principle, ideology and political conviction, the journey has somehow gone from “I stand with El-Rufai” -SDP-ADC-APC… and then appointment don land. Una wey follow am go APC, abeg, wetin una really gain? 😂

“Jafaru Sani and Bashir Saidu were among the prominent El-Rufai loyalists who stood by Malam through DIFFICULT political seasons” Was there any more difficult political season for Mallam Nasir El-Rufai than when he was held in captivity for over 200 days? Guess what? They left! The accurate thing to say is “Jafaru Sani and Bashir Saidu were among the El-Rufai loyalists who stood by Malam through ROSY political seasons” You are welcome! 🤣
On 24 May 2026, I wrote that the brewing war inside Kaduna ADC was slowly turning into a political movie, and asked whether loyalty would eventually be rewarded or forgotten when it was time to share the spoils. Today, the plot has changed. Jafaru Sani and Bashir Saidu were among the prominent El-Rufai loyalists who stood by Malam through difficult political seasons, including serious legal and political battles. They were not people who discovered El-Rufai when it became convenient. Then came the ADC chapter. Isa Ashiru Kudan secured the ADC governorship ticket, while Jafaru Sani finished second. The primary generated its own controversies, and Maina Waziri has also since left the party. Now Jafaru and Bashir have returned to the APC and aligned themselves with Governor Uba Sani. I have personally had a conversation with Jafaru, and one thing was very clear: he still holds Malam Nasir El-Rufai in very high regard. But his political choice today is Uba Sani. And that is where the irony becomes interesting. For years, many people in the El-Rufai camp had a very different assessment of Governor Uba Sani. Today, one of the people who stood firmly within that camp has chosen to support him. Jafaru’s position is essentially that you can continue to respect Malam El-Rufai while choosing a different political direction. And if the argument is about competence and experience, the question should be asked honestly: among the candidates currently before Kaduna, what does each person bring to the table? Uba Sani has served as a Senator and is now completing his first term as Governor. Ashiru, on the other hand, served in the House of Representatives and contested the governorship twice, losing to El-Rufai in 2019 and finishing behind Uba Sani in 2023. Interestingly, Malam El-Rufai himself has made strong criticisms of Ashiru’s capacity in the past. Those old statements are now part of the political record and make today’s realignment even more interesting. Jafaru can respect El-Rufai, remember everything they went through together, and still conclude that Uba Sani is the candidate he wants to support for Kaduna’s next chapter. That is politics. The Kaduna political equation has changed again. The movie I wrote about in May has not ended. The characters have simply changed positions.

This is Ben Kure, a heartless and shameless man who served a government that deliberately planned the killing of his people in Southern Kaduna for 8 years, according to Christopher Musa, and he himself admitted that by saying what CG Musa said is true. He didn't just serve. He was the DG campaign for that government’s re-election.

I told you guys a few days ago that it was Malam Nasir @elrufai who begged President Tinubu to make Gen Christopher Musa COAS, even though President Tinubu then made him CDS. Take a look at this post ftom Malam and see how he celebrated him here and prayed for him. Today, the whole world is watching Gen. Musa. But in all these, what are his achievements? Let me list some of his achievements so far: ■ Under Gen. Musa's watch, the Army accidentally bombed Tudun Biri. ■ Under Gen Musa's watch, the Army accidentally bombed Gidan Sama and Runtawa. ■ Under Gen Musa's watch, the Army accidentally bombed Tunga Kara. ■ Under Gen Musa's watch, the Army accidentally bombed Jilli monthly. In all these, innocent men, women and children were wasted. And one common thing with all these areas where these accidental bombings happened was that, they were all Muslim dominated areas. If a retired Army General and Minister of Defence, can say those things Gen. Musa said on National TV, and these things happened the way they did, then every sane Nigerian should be very worried.

Are these ACCIDENTS really accident? Is he a Master of Accidents or a Muslim- hater in uniform promoted to a senior minister by a "Muslim-Muslim" government after performing a good job?

Anyone who didn't learn one thing or two from the betrayals this man has faced, and how God Has used him to expose a lot of people, lately Christopher Gwabin, then you will never learn in life. You could see the hatred on his face while he was speaking. This is beyond politics. It is who he is. Let's learn. May Allãh bring an end to any evil that is keeping you behind bars, and may you regain your freedom soonest.

Mallam Nasir El-Rufai is a polarizing figure. Those who love him, love him to death and those who hate him will stop at nothing to take him down. But love or hate him, you cannot ignore him. It is better to have him in your corner than to have him in the column against you.

Press Release: Statement by the El-Rufai Family. The family of Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), former Governor of Kaduna State and Opposition Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has noted with serious concern the allegations made by General Christopher Musa (Rtd.), Minister of Defence, on 3 September 2026 during a live television broadcast of Politics Today on Channels Television. During the programme, General Musa alleged that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai actively planned killings in Southern Kaduna while serving as Governor of Kaduna State. This grave allegation was made without the presentation of any evidence in support of the claim. While General Musa (Rtd.) is entitled to hold and express his personal opinions, the El-Rufai family is equally entitled to demand that such serious allegations be substantiated with credible evidence. In the absence of such evidence, we call on him to publicly retract the allegation through the same medium on which it was made. Accordingly, General Musa (Rtd.) is hereby given seven (7) days from the date of this statement to either provide evidence in support of his allegation or issue a full public retraction and apology. Failure to do so will leave the family with no option but to pursue all appropriate legal remedies available under the law in response to these unsubstantiated allegations. Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai For and on behalf of the El-Rufai Family Abuja, September 7, 2026. facebook.com/share/p/1GwA5vC…
