San Franciscans! Dreamforce starts tomorrow so here are my top 5 tips for dealing with the madness:
1. Go to NYC for the week
Last week I got to bring together a group of PMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Glean, Perplexity, MSL, Sierra, Databricks, Stripe and more. We talked about where AI has changed their day to day roles most dramatically, where it's removed a dependency, and where they still feel blocked.
Given how different these companies are (size, customer, layer of the AI stack), I was struck by how similar the answers were. A lot of work that used to require another person/team has become self-serve: prototyping small features instead of writing PRDs, analyzing data instead of filing requests with data scientists, asking an agent who owns what instead of scheduling a million 1:1s.
The product development bottlenecks haven't disappeared, they've shifted. More AI-written code = more PRs someone still has to review. Regulatory timelines haven't sped up. Humans still need to align around strategy. One PM described the magic of spinning up 10 agent sessions at once, only to realize SHE had become the bottleneck.
AI is collapsing the time it takes to execute. Human judgment is becoming the scarce resource.
Sent this announcement to Instinct and asked it what it can do that ChatGPT Work can’t, then shared its answer with ChatGPT Work.
Seems like the underlying functionality is v similar. The biggest differences are the primary interface and how much persistent monitoring happens by default.

• Fill out permit applications for your small business
• Add action items to a vendor portal based on a recent client call
• Analyze the latest ad campaign for your small business

Venture firms rebrand for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes it's genuine evolution - the identity finally catches up with who the firm has become. Sometimes it's camouflage - a way of looking like a different kind of firm than the one the last few years revealed. And sometimes it's just that the old website was embarrassing and someone finally had enough.
Ours is mostly the first, none of the second, and just a touch of the last :)
Today we're launching a new brand and a redesigned website. The logo is refreshed. The palette is cleaner. The typography is sharper. And the site actually reflects how we think in 2026.

When I first led @Gamma's seed round in 2021, ChatGPT didn't exist. Waymo wasn't yet publicly available. Humans wrote the vast majority of code.
Fast forward to late 2025 when I invested a second time with @uncorkcap, the world had transformed, and Gamma's progress massively accelerated ($0 ➡️ $100M!), but so many things remained the same.
