Loved discussing the unsung intellectual aspects of motherhood and more with @acreemacam for @LAReviewofBooks

Check out this fascinating conversation I got to have with Nicole Graev Lipson about motherhood as muse, gender myths, and Mean Girls!

This book is so good! And I’m so thankful for @thesophiewan and @MassReview for being on board with this interview. You should read them both.
"I wanted to be realistic about the shape that friendships take, and how they can get battered by life and changing personalities." @acreemacam interviews novelist Sophie Wan about her debut, WOMEN OF GOOD FORTUNE, for the MR Blog: massreview.org/node/11971

Definitely one of the best craft books I’ve read. And I loved hearing actors like Nick Offerman and Glenn Close reading Russian classics. Highly recommend!

Just caught the guy in the row in front of me checking himself out on his phone camera. It’s moments like these that make air travel worth it 💫

I’ve spent decades learning to write, and so much of my training has been about word choice and cliche and sentence length and not, like, asking what writing is for

I left City Hall around 3:30 today, after 5 hours of waiting with my 3 year old and 3 month old. My name was just called around 10pm. Since I didn’t get to speak I am attaching what I was going to say here.

My 3yo drew a picture of herself and her preschool educators who came to City Hall today. She said she would tell City Council, “it’s not fair.” #StopCopCity
