I stand with you on this.✊🏻 I experienced the 2016–2017 cycle, the ICO boom, the 2018 bear market, the excitement of 2021 and the fallout of 2022. I have seen the opportunities, the promises and the damage left behind. And I am tired of watching ordinary people become someone else’s exit liquidity. In 2021, I began working on what became ATEG. The purpose behind “Empowering Generations” and “Get Free, Live With Us” came from the very problems you describe: housing, financial pressure and the growing distance between working hard and getting ahead. I am sharing this as a founder and CEO because these problems shaped what I decided to build. One question has stayed with me: what are we actually building around a token beyond the opportunity to buy it and sell it to someone else? A functioning ecosystem needs an economic purpose, transparent rules, security and reasons to participate beyond the next price movement. It also needs to explain how it intends to handle volatility and where its limitations are. That thinking led us to the Hybrid Stability Token model. One element uses the previous month’s highest and lowest prices to calculate a reference index for the following month, informing a framework for buying below that reference and selling above it. That reference is not a guaranteed price floor. It is an attempt to introduce a transparent, consistent framework into a market where decisions are too often driven by the next candle. The wider work is connecting that framework to economic activity and long-term participation. A free market still needs accountability. Calling something decentralised does not remove responsibility for how it is designed, funded or presented to people. Anyone who has had enough has every right to walk away.
