.@Office365 It's getting close to squeekly-bum time (to use a sports analogy) for #Microsoft365 tenants as they attempt to remove Exchange Web Services from their environment. April 1, 2027 will come very fast. Time to eradicate EWS!

.@Office365 I have a mail flow rule to suppress traffic from known spammy domains. The rule works well, but it's good to know exactly how effective it is at squashing spam. So I now have an Azure Automation runbook to capture mail flow rule statistics on a regular basis...

.@Office365 #MicrosoftTeams now uses AI to generate meeting memory files which are stored in SharePoint Embedded and used by Copilot and agents if users want to refer back to what happened in a meeting. Here's how things work, and what's in a meeting file: office365itpros.com/2026/10/…

.@Office365 There's something in the Microsoft mindset where they like to retire really useful #PowerShell cmdlets. The next one up is Search-UnifiedAuditLog, due for retirement Oct 15, 2027. Lots of work to do to upgrade scripts...

.@Office365 V2.41.2 of the Microsoft Graph #PowerShell SDK is now available. This version fixes the dependency issue that causes Connect-MgGraph to fail with older PowerShell 7 versions. The new modules support successful runtime execution for PowerShell 7.4 environments (all that I have tested so far).
.@Office365 The bright sparks in #EntraID think that it's a good idea to allow users to create agent blueprints. These objects are like apps. They need to be controlled, so Microsoft's proposal is a horrible idea. Disable the setting immediately!

.@Office365 The Microsoft Graph #PowerShell SDK has cmdlets to find #SharePoint Online sites, so the issue of finding a site to process seems pretty simplex. But as it turns out, other SDK cmdlets might do a better job of finding a relevant site. Explored here: office365itpros.com/2026/10/…

.@Office365 I was asked if #Microsoft365 #Copilot could access items in Exchange Online archive mailboxes. Using old information with AI always has some risks, but archive mailboxes are accessible and the items found there can be consumed by Copilot. Isn't that nice? office365itpros.com/2026/10/…
.@Office365 A few weeks ago I said that Graph didn't support group mailboxes. What I meant was that Graph doesn't support these mailboxes via the Mailbox API. But other APIs are available, even if using them is kind of strange: office365itpros.com/2026/10/…

.@Office365 You might be amazed at the #SharePoint storage consumed by email sent to #MicrosoftTeams channels. Here's how to use #PowerShell to move old messages stored in SharePoint to #Microsoft365 Archive and reduce the storage cost by 75%.

.@Office365 Microsoft has fixed the annoying assembly clash issue for #Microsoft365 #PowerShell modules in the Graph SDK V2.41. Unfortunately, a new issue stops SDK V2.41 working with older versions of PowerShell 7, including Azure Automation. Software!

.@Office365 #MicrosoftTeams wants to make file sharing in federated chat easier. So much so that they intended to overwrite tenant settings to make it happen. Fortunately, saner minds won the day, but do #Microsoft365 tenants really want files to be shared with external people? office365itpros.com/2026/10/…
