dropping another billion dollar fintech idea: embedded agents for neobanks you used to have embedded SaaS. now you’ll have embedded agents start with bookkeeping. build an embeddable agent that lives inside the neobank: > categorizing transactions > spinning up statements > reconciling > forwarding the package to your accountant monthly anyone working on this? would really rather not build it myself, and i’m sure every other neobank founder feels the same banger idea

idk who needs to hear this (amazon, jp morgan) but build open systems openness is no longer an ideology. it’s distribution discoverable and usable by an agent will beat discoverable and usable by a human, 10 out of 10 times

Money is money, everywhere on earth. Trade went global centuries ago. Why did the money layer never catch up? You can sell to a customer on any continent in one click. Getting paid for it still costs 5% and takes five days, because their money and your money live behind different gates. We’re building toward the obvious future: you buy, you sell, you get paid. The transfer of value just works, and you never think about it.

With OneSafe, the mission has always been helping businesses send and receive payments. It’s quite normal for us to integrate entire providers just to support one customer with an urgent payment. SWIFT has been our longest war. To support a duct taped SWIFT experience required 40% integrations, 50% manual work, and 30% hoping the payment gods were in a good mood. Yes, that’s 120%. That’s what it required. Today we’re finally announcing a SWIFT experience we’re proud of, live in general beta. Send and receive funds across 115+ countries, no duct tape in sight. Some features take a sprint. SWIFT was a marathon across a small graveyard of providers.

There was a moment in time when OneSafe had 8 different BaaS providers integrated. We had to. No single provider covered the entire map, and half of them kept dying. Redundancy and patchwork were survival. It was more a symptom than a strategy. I think that era is ending. Current BaaS platforms are more stable and cover more of the stack reliably. So now the play has changed: pick one good provider you actually trust, accept the dependency, and spend your engineering time building the layer that differentiates you and serves your specific niche. At some point BaaS gets commoditized anyway. Everyone will have the same ACH, SWIFT, and wire rails. The magic is what you build on top.

The issue I have with my instinct right now is there isn't a clean way to speak to my specialized agents and hand tasks off
.@OpenRouter co-founder Alex Atallah on personal agents: 10 specialized chiefs of staff beat one universal agent. One job each means you can see exactly where it's failing. "The worst part about doing cross-domain joins with your personal agent is that the more work you give it, the more understanding of what's going on you're sacrificing." "And no one is taking responsibility for that sacrifice. Agents don't have any responsibility." "With a universal agent that's doing all things, I can't adjust how much understanding I'm sacrificing." "It points me towards: maybe down the road, the sub-agents people use will be very vertically focused, and we have a chief of staff type agent that coordinates between them." "You need vertically focused agents where this agent is more responsible, psychologically, for these things. I want quality checks that make sure it's doing those things correctly. It doesn't need to focus on anything else, it has one focus area." "I wonder if that's going to help people get at least a loose sense of responsibility on top of agents." @alexatallah

Hot take: Telegram is about to eat every other messaging app. As agentic chat takes off, Telegram will be the biggest winner. It's the most developer friendly, has the richest in-chat UI, and has native payments built in.

Everybody on our team is at least bilingual. That's what it takes to build a global neobank.

One of the issues was openai was too focused on protecting and limiting what their agent could do I think they forgot the basic principal of YC, which is build what people want People want agents that can actually do things in the real world for them
it still surprises me how openai lost their first mover's advantage after aquiring openclaw. i would've expected openai to be having a muse moment instead

I did share we were doing this with OneSafe invoices a few weeks ago xitter.cf/i/trending/21024665658…

Coming soon: agentic invoices. Invoices humans can pay as normal, with endpoints exposed for agents to query accepted payment methods, rails, and settlement details. Agents won't fat-finger an amount or paste the wrong address if they query the payment details from the source.

This is what we're about to do with OneSafe invoices
Hi internet! We went ahead and upgraded all @stripe hosted checkout pages for 7.8M businesses—0.45% of the world’s GDP—with WebMCP so agents can more efficiently buy. Our evals show this reduces checkout latency by 39% and token usage by 42%. Learn more: stripe.dev/blog/how-stripe-i…

If instinct wants the 10B valuation all they have to do is hire thousands of people to constantly do captchas for them Only thing that seems to be missing

Who's building the Mechanical Turk, inverted? Humans as the API for the real world. Agents get captcha walled when checking a gift card balance, can't photograph a shelf, or confirm an address. Humans can. Pennies per task, paid instantly
